In my quest for the best gaming headset for Warzone, I’ve journeyed through countless hours of gameplay and research.

Back in those days, it was uncommon for players to blast their headsets to detect enemy movements. That came a bit later around the MW2 and Black Ops 1 Era.

But these days it’s NOT rare to find a “little Timmy” sitting in the corner waiting to hear your footsteps. Or a “wannabe” COD pro running around with dead silence activated.

In this article, I ranked and reviewed 10 of the best gaming headsets for Warzone, just so you don’t waste tons of money on terrible headsets or overpay for a mediocre gaming headset.

Are you ready? Good because I’ve broken too many controllers and headsets playing this game.

What Is The Best Gaming Headset For Warzone 2?

I get it, you just got destroyed by a sweat that heard you running from across the map. Here’s a quick overview of the best headphones for Warzone 2.

steelseries arctis nova pro wireless black headset

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless – Best Overall

Pros

  • Infinite battery life so you never worry about your headset dying
  • No more distractions from loud external noises
  • Hear distant enemies before they get close
  • Never hear teammates clown you for having a “popcorn mic”

Pros

  • Very Expensive
  • Might have to purchase additional ear cups to fit your ear size

Key Features

  • Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
  • 2 batteries
  • Dual USB connections
  • 360 Spatial Audio quality
  • Nova Pro Acoustic System
  • Dual Wireless headset
  • 10–40,000 Hz (Wired) & 10–22,000 Hz (Wireless)
  • ClearCast Gen 2 – Fully Retractable Boom mic

Overview

Usually, there are many expensive headsets masquerading as a mid-range or even a cheap headset. But the Arctis Nova Pro wireless headset is the best gaming headset for Warzone 2, and for good reason.

It has easily become one the best Call Of Duty headsets for gamers who want to dominate in MW2 and Warzone 2 without being at a disadvantage.

Not to mention the headset is modular, meaning you can change out parts that wear down or break without having to spend money on a new Call of Duty headset.

The two hot-swappable batteries last 22 hours each and will give you endless battery life and long gaming sessions. As long as you swap the batteries within 8 seconds of taking one out, you will never worry about your headphones dying in the middle of a gunfight… this used to happen to me all the time.

One of my favorite features is the active noise cancellation. It doesn’t matter what background noise is going on, you won’t be able to hear a thing. Perfect for obtaining that immersive audio experience while ignoring your nagging girlfriend.

With the spatial audio provided by their Sonar software, you can customize your equalization (EQ) settings which will allow you to find the perfect frequencies for hearing footsteps.

The other best headphones for Warzone don’t come close to checking off all the bells and whistles this bad boy comes with.

I only have one real drawback of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, it can take some adjusting for it to be comfortable. And you might need to purchase separate ear cushions that are best for your head and ear size. Luckily SteelSeries has plenty of options on their site to choose from.

My Take

Look if you’re serious about getting better at Warzone, then you need to give yourself a competitive advantage. I know it’s pricey but you will have these gaming headphones for years to come. And don’t worry about something breaking because you can buy parts separately instead of buying a new headset.

astros a10

Astro A10 – best budget headset

Pros

  • Very affordable price for Call of Duty gamers on a budget.
  • Replaceable ear cushions help it last a lot longer
  • Very lightweight so it doesn’t bother you while playing

Cons

  • No sound customization features
  • Bulky build

Key Features

  • Detachable audio cable
  • Flip-to-mute microphone
  • Lightweight and well-padded earcups
  • Durable build

Overview

The Astro A10 is the best headset for those on a tight budget. It is cheap but it gets the job done. it’s very comfortable and has replaceable ear cushions to help it maintain over time.

I actually used these headsets for a long time back in college when I couldn’t afford $100+ headsets.

What I love about this headset is its durability. You wouldn’t believe how long these headsets lasted me before I needed a new pair. And I would never have needed a new pair if I hadn’t abused my headsets.

The flip-to-mute mic feature is one of the things you have to deal with having a budget headset. I know it gets annoying, especially since it is not detachable, but the mic is clear and no one will say you have a garbage microphone.

The only real drawback is not having a ton of customization features but that’s to be expected with a cheaper gaming headset.

My Take

I think the Astro A10 is for casual and non-competitive gamers who need the best warzone headset that won’t cost a ton. And it’s also great to chill on Call Of Duty with friends.

razer blackshark v2 pro

Razer Blackshark V2 Pro – Best PS5 Headset for Warzone

Pros

  • Extremely soft memory foam ear cups
  • Multi-platform capability
  • Very long battery life
  • THX Spatial Audio

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Don’t get the full benefits of using it with Xbox consoles
  • Plastic frame

Key Features

  • Bluetooth 5.2 support
  • THX Spatial Audio
  • soft memory foam ear cushions
  • 70-hour battery life
  • Detachable microphone
  • 50mm TriForce Titanium drivers

Overview

I like the Razer Blackshark v2 Pro better than many gaming headsets because it focuses on having excellent sound quality than other needless features.

For you, this wireless headset is for the complete hermit who loves long marathon gaming sessions. They are easily one of the most comfortable headsets on this list and have the longest battery life.

In relation to gaming headsets, the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro is a fantastic option for Call of Duty gamers. Its primary focus is audio output and comfortability, basically the top two most important things.

I love this headset but I gotta tell you, I’m not sure how durable this headset would be years after you buy it. Obviously, if you take care of it then you’re fine, but if you are a headset abuser, then you might need something else.

My Take

Although you won’t get great features like active noise canceling, this headset will block some background noise out with the ear cups themselves. But for playing Call of Duty, these modern gaming headsets have some impressive sound quality to hear every little detail.

astro a40 TR with mixamp pro

Astro A40 + Mixamp Pro – Best Wired Headset

Pros

  • Modular headset, so you can replace the ear cups, microphone, and 3.5mm cable.
  • save multiple EQ presets for the different games you play for better audio cues.
  • Extremely comfortable wired headphones with leatherette ear cushions.

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Separate mixamp for PlayStation and Xbox.
  • Needs a separate adapter on PS5 for game/voice mixing

Key Features

  • Frequency Response: 20 – 20,000 Hz
  • Dolby Digital Surround Sound
  • Swappable Boom microphone
  • Mod kit ready
  • Customizable EQ settings
  • Multi-platform compatibility
  • Comfortable ear cushions

Overview

Similar to the Nova Pro, the Astro A40 is an elite-level gaming headset and certainly one of the best gaming headsets for Warzone 2. My favorite features are the removable ear muffs, microphone, and cable.

The mixamp pro allows users to set multiple EQ settings for numerous tasks. So you can program EQ settings for Warzone, another for Netflix, and anything you want. You also have the choice to choose between Dolby surround sound and source audio.

My favorite feature of this luxury headset is the modular aspect. You can buy a separate modkit that will give you an upgraded mic with better microphone quality. And the leather ear cushions which I gotta tell you, feel much better than the stock foam cushions.

These headsets are perfect for streaming because the mixamp pro has an optical cable, a stream port, and an aux port. Each has its own benefits when trying to get the best sound quality.

I think the only thing holding this headset back is the need for a separate adapter for PlayStation gamers. If you’re on the Xbox series x you won’t have this problem. Same as if you are on PC.

My Take

The Astros A40 TR with Mixamp Pro is personally my go-to headset for gaming because being able to click a button on my Mixamp to switch EQ settings is amazing. Any gamer who wants the best gaming headset for Warzone 2 that isn’t as expensive as the Nova Pro Wireless should consider this good gaming headset.

logitech g pro x

Logitech G Pro X Wireless – Best PC Headset for Warzone

  • DTS Headphone:X 2.0 goes above 7.1 surround sound

Cons

  • No surround sound for Xbox series x, PS5/PS4, Nintendo Switch

  • Up to 20+ hours of battery life
  • USB Type-C charging
  • Aluminum fork and steel-reinforced headband
  • Memory foam earpads for passive noise isolation and comfort

Overview

The Logitech G Pro X is a quality gaming headset for warzone players, as it features great wireless connectivity, and excellent audio quality, and is easily one of the best microphones for in-game comms.

I think this headset is best suited for PC gamers more than console gamers. The reason is that the G Hub software used to control your headset’s EQ and mic settings can only be accessed on a computer.

Anyway, compared to other headsets, it’s a massive improvement in voice quality as it has BLUE VO!CE to make your microphone sound richer and more professional.

You will no longer have a popcorn microphone that came straight out of the 80s with Blue VO!CE. I had so many friends ask me “Did my voice change?”.

An overlooked feature of this headset is the build quality. It is made with steel hinges and has a flexible leather band for comfort. The best part is, It is a good headset for gamers with glasses. I used to wear glasses before I got LASIK and I’ll tell you nothing beats comfort from a gaming headset.

The DTS Headphone:X 2.0 will give us Call of Duty players that sweet spatial and directional audio. No more wondering if the enemy is up or down while running in a building.

The only drawback is using this headset on consoles. You will not have access to the amazing surround sound features.

My Take

If you’re a PC gamer, looking for wireless/wired headsets, the Logitech G Pro X is a great choice as long as you primarily play on PC. You can you use it on other systems but you will lose functionality. Nonetheless, these headsets are amazing for comfort, sound quality, and voice chat.

razer kaira pro gaming headset

Razer Kaira Pro – Best Xbox Headset For Warzone

Pros

  • Clear sound and rich bass
  • Connects directly to the Xbox Series X|S with a great signal range
  • Cycle between 4 EQ settings for different audio frequencies
  • Comfortable for long marathon gaming sessions

Cons

  • Known to get a static sound

Key Features

  • Wireless Connectivity
  • HyperClear Supercardioid Mic
  • Spatial Audio
  • Triforce Titanium Drivers
  • RGB Lighting
  • FlowKnit memory foam ear cushions

Overview

The Razer Kiara Pro is a wireless gaming headset primarily for the Xbox series x|s since it does not have any USB connection or 3.5mm output. They are far from budget headsets and tend to sit more of the expensive range.

With Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, these headsets are best suited for Xbox gamers trying to get an edge on Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2.

Compared to other headsets on my list, the Razer Kiara Pro is strictly for Xbox series x and PC. There is a Playstation version but they don’t get the multiple connection options like the Xbox.

The HyperClear microphone will make you sound great for your teammates and it’s also suitable for making calls.

I do like the RGB lighting on the side of the headset since it’s one of the only headsets with RGB on this list.

Obviously, with the price point it’s at, it better have spatial audio (which it does). This will give amazing directional audio cues for finding those sneaky enemies.

My biggest gripe is the hissing noise. I don’t know why it tends to get a weird hissing/static noise every now and then but it is annoying.

My Take

If you’re playing Warzone on Xbox these are the headsets for you. Just be mindful of the static noise that could potentially arise sometimes. There are some fixes to the problem online, but just know it could happen. If you are on PC, there are better headsets to choose from.

steelseries arcits 7

SteelSeries Arctis 7 – Best Wireless Headset

Pros

  • 24 hours of battery life
  • Longest connectivity range at 40 feet
  • SteelSeries Engine 3 software allows for the customization of sound profiles.

Cons

  • SteelSeries Engine 3 software can be buggy at times and needs improvement
  • No Bluetooth

Key Features

  • 24 hour battery life
  • Discord-Certified Microphone
  • 40ft wireless connection
  • Air weave cushions & ski goggle headband fabric
  • Compatibility
  • Customizable sound profiles

Overview

A good headset for Warzone needs high-quality features. And the Arctis 7 is a wireless gaming headset that lasts 24 hours. You can rest easy knowing your wireless headsets won’t die mid-session.

Another standout feature is the bidirectional mic which is discord certified. Let’s just say your friends won’t complain about poor mic quality.

I know mic quality is the last thing gamers care about, but the Arctis 7 has amazing surround sound audio. Hearing all in-game details won’t be an issue.

Not to mention you can also change your EQ settings with the SteelSeries software.

Albeit, it’s pretty annoying using an app to control your headset’s surround sound and other features. Headsets like the Nova Pro, you can adjust settings with the DAC.

My Take

The Arcits 7 have been a popular wireless headset for good reasons. It has great sound quality, wireless connectivity which can also use a 3.5mm jack for wired connection, and it works with Nintendo Switch. If you want the best wireless experience while playing Call Of Duty MW2 or Warzone, you should try this headset.

hyper x cloud alpha

Hyper x Cloud Alpha

Pros

  • Aluminum frame makes this headset very durable and sturdy.
  • Detachable cable & mic
  • Dual Chamber drivers separate the bass from the mids and highs for clear audio.

Cons

  • No surround sound

Key Features

  • Dual Chamber Drivers
  • Aluminum frame
  • Detachable Cable
  • Detachable Microphone
  • In-line Audio Controls

Overview

For a game like Warzone, I would consider this a budget headset even though it’s really a mid-range headset. The HyperX Cloud Alpha is a wired headset that does have a wireless version (HyperX cloud alpha wireless). It gets the job done well with solid audio and comfortability, but that’s really it.

For a Warzone player, this is a step up from a lot of headsets out there with its dual chamber drivers and detachable cable and mic. It is actually pretty rare in a lot of headsets to have detachable cables. This headset is for the COD MW2 and Warzone player looking to get a better headset but is on a bit of a budget.

In comparison to most headsets on this list, it’s one of the “cheaper” options. Honestly, most quality headsets are quite expensive in reality. I mean we need to pay $500 for a console, $70 for a game, $70 for a headset, and $70+ for a controller. Prices are getting ridiculous.

The Mic is detachable and noise canceling So you have some freedom when it comes to maintaining your headset for a while. Just replace the cable or mic if one goes bad.

The only real drawback is the lack of features. When I used this headset, it wasn’t bad or uncomfortable. It just lacks a lot of the bells and whistles you would want to destroy players in Warzone.

My Take

The HyperX Cloud Alpha is what I would consider being a budget headset capable of being used on any device (Xbox series x, PS4/PS5, & Nintendo Switch). It has a lot of the same features as other headsets but if you’re in need of a gaming headphone that will last a long time and on a bit of a budget, I would recommend this headset.

steelseries arctis pro with game DAC

Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC

Pros

  • Breathtaking audio quality
  • Immersive audio with directional spatial cues
  • Extremely comfortable

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Game DAC Not compatible with Xbox One or Nintendo Switch
turtle beach elite

Key Features

  • Hi-Res audio quality
  • Frequency response of 10Hz to 40,000Hz
  • ClearCast noise-canceling microphone
  • DTS Headphone:X v2.0
  • Durable steel headband
  • Premium woven ski goggle fabric
  • AirWeave ear cushions

Overview

This being yet another steel series headset on this list, you should realize they have the best gaming headsets on the market. I love this headset because it’s the full package for a Playstation and PC gamer like myself.

I think it’s safe to safe the Arctis Pro + Game DAC is really going to be for PS4/PS5 and PC gamers. You could use it on other devices but you won’t have the full functionality which comes from the DAC.

The SteelSeries Arctis Pro is comparable to the Astro A40. It was the best gaming headset on the market before they released the Arctis Nova Pro which is total overkill.

I love this premium gaming headset because it has superb audio quality with an expansive frequency range from 10 to 40,000 hertz. You will hear every little detail in Call Of Duty Warzone with ease.

The polished steel and aluminum alloy offers the best durability for a long-lasting headset.

The biggest problem with this headset is the lack of functionality for Xbox and Nintendo gamers. This probably won’t be the headset you should choose.

My Take

Any PC/Playstation gamer needing one of the best headsets for MW2 and Warzone should give this headset a go. I understand that it’s pricey but it’s cheaper since the release of the Nova Pro. You will always find these headsets at a very good discount.

turtle beach elite pro 2 white gaming headset

Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2

Pros

  • Remove pressure from your glasses while you play
  • Does have surround sound for great spatial audio
  • Works well will all platforms and mobile devices.

Cons

  • Expensive

Key Features

  • Leather & Cooling Gel-Infused Memory Foam
  • 50mm Nanoclear™ speakers with Neodymium Magnets
  • 12Hz – 20kHz Frequency response
  • Prospecs glasses relief system
  • Multiplatform Compatability
  • Unidirectional gaming microphone
  • Removable mic

Overview

The Elite Pro 2 is a wired gaming headset that looks great and offers a lot of comfort. The sound is pretty good since you will have surround sound and spatial audio.

I think this headset would be best for a Warzone player who wants a simple plug-and-play option that works the same on all platforms.

Compared to other headsets, it focuses a lot on design and comfort but this is one of those overpaying for a mediocre headset. So you’re probably wondering why I added it to the list. Well, as I said before, it works the same on all platforms so there’s no need to change any setting in the software.

Unless you get the version with the Superamp (which is way overpriced) this headset is still pretty good for what it does. It’s not horrible but there are better options.

They do relieve pressure off of your glasses so you can play longer without discomfort. I did like the added grooves for the relief system.

While playing Warzone with this headset, I did like the spatial audio. The lows made it quite easy to hear those bassy footsteps.

The biggest drawback to this headset really is the price. It’s not super expensive but there are better options in the same price range.

My Take

The Elite Pro 2 is a great all-around wired headset for any platform. I only recommend buying ONLY the headset though because with the superamp, you will pay around $250, and in that case, you can buy the Arctis nova pro wireless or Astro A40 or A50.
